5 Toxic Grocery Store Products to Avoid

There are a lot of toxic chemicals we are exposed to on a daily basis, from toxins in our environment to the foods we actually eat. Toxic chemicals in our food?

Yes, and we’ve come up with a list of the most common foods that many of us eat each day that are filled with some harmful chemicals unbeknownst to many.

Throughout the following paragraphs we will be identifying these foods, kitchen culprits, and explaining just exactly why they are that  dangerous for our health , as well as the chemicals they have, in order for  consumers can read the labels of the produces in grocery store  in order to avoid all these toxins in the future.

Canned Pickles & Olives

Some recent studies found that sodium benzoate is can incredibly do some harm to the body. It was found to actually damage the mitochondria, or control center for our own DNA.

Another chemical that is close to sodium benzoate in our nature, and just as harmful and not that good is potassium benzoate, and it can be found in some of our favorite grocery store products such as pickles,  canned olives,  salad dressings, juices, and syrups.

If you see either of these ingredients on the label of some products, it is good to not buy em.

Coffee Creamer

Flavored coffee creamers are usually filled with toxic chemicals that can harm our bodies. Popular coffee creamers contain some harmful chemical titanium dioxide.

If this sounds quit familiar it’s because it’s a UV blocker and whitener that is used in most popular sun-screens.

Why would anyone want to ingest this?? It was found to cause tissue and liver damage in mice, and to decrease memory in adults under 45 years of age.


Not only do Cheetos lack that nutritional value, they also contain (GMO) corn, which has been linked to some health issues.

With those snacks being so puffy and basically disintegrating on the tongues, it feels like we aren’t eating too much, which prompts over eating, and it is fueled by (MSG).

Diet Sodas

While regular soda is known to be  not healthy, diet soda is actually even worse. It’s packed with a cocktail of some harmful chemicals, making this one of the worst products to eat/consume.

Diet sodas will not help to lose weight, rather, it promotes weight gains.

If you must have  soda, at least opt for one that is not filled up with such ingredients, uses sugar cane corn syrup  over high-fructose  or aspartame, and is not  tainted with artificial coloring.

Artificial Chocolate


Things like  chocolate syrup, topping, and non-dairy whipped topping contain some  unhealthy and harmful chemical polysorbate 60 or polyoxyethylene (20) sorbitan monostearate.

This is a harmful combinations of  corn oil, palm oil,  and an oil that never goes sour. This chemical has been linked with some diseases in humans animals and animals.

A good rule of thumb when grocery shopping is to avoid all processed foods in the center aisles of the grocery stores, and to opt for organic healthy whole foods found along the perimeter.
